Playing at the Rock Inn in Lake Hughes / Lake Elizabeth was a real treat. The acoustics in that place are phenomenal for a band and everyone had such a great time.
The owner, Warren, and his staff are very friendly people, the food is excellent and both the food and beverages are very reasonably priced.
The Rock Inn has hotel rooms above the bar / restaurant although I cannot imagine anyone being able to sleep before the band stops playing!
It’s about an hour drive from Santa Clarita whether you go San Francisquito Canyon or out to Palmdale and the 14. We went up the Canyon and came back through Palmdale and down the 14. Next trip -yes, they are going to have us back up – we’ll go up the 14, it’s a much less fatiguing drive although not as beautiful as winding your way through the mountains.
If there is a downside about the Rock Inn it’s the stage is a little small and awkward from the point of view of seeing the audience / band. We had a hard time getting a photo of all the band in one shot, but here are a few we do have.
