Keeping Up To Date

Santa Clarita Children and Families

Well, a lot has happened since my last post regarding our first gig at Wolf Creek Brewery so I thought I would post something keeping up to date.

For one thing, we have played there again since, getting a late Friday call from Melissa asking us to fill in for a band that bailed on her and couldn’t meet their commitment.  We got the call at 4:00 p.m. to start at 6:00 p.m. so it was a little bit rushed rallying the troops but we made it and were ready to go by 6:20 p.m.

The Wolf Creek Brewery is a great place to play and the Restaurant has excellent food so we’re looking forward to going back again.

Since then, we’ve had terrible mud slides which forced cancellation of our gig at The Rock Inn, Lake Hughes, but we will be playing there again on December 19th.  See the calendar, come on out.

In the past month Dan has sat in with Chuck Strong over at Bergies and I played over at the thanksgiving day dinner for the homeless in downtown Newhall.  Dan and Paul were working so I took a couple of other friends, Laurie Griesbach, Tom Alfera and Paul Campeneitz.  I also had Steve Sadd sit in on saxophone with me for “Lovers and Fools”.  I just love the sax on that song.

We are working on New Years Eve.  We had a commitment (soft, apparently) from Jeff over at JJ’s Bar and Grill in Valencia, to host our annual New Years Eve party over there.  Unfortunately, when it came down to the nitty gritty they were unable to commit.  We have had a conversation with El Trocadero in downtown Newhall, which we think would be a better venue anyway, so we are hoping to come to an agreement with them pretty quickly.  We will let you know as soon as we know.

January 16th we are booked to play the Persia Lounge in downtown Newhall.  Another great restaurant with excellent, well priced food and libations.
