There’s got to be a morning after (yes, I remember the original Poseidon movie with Maureen McGovern singing the theme). These photos were taken the morning of the 26th. The Sand Fire has been suppressed and things are slowly, very slowly, returning to normal. I can’t tell you how grateful we and all our neighbors are for the work the fire fighters did and all the support personnel. It is truly incredible. So much more could have been destroyed but for their professionalism.
The photos speak for themselves. The devastation is total. Nothing grows in the fire zone. Many small animals did not survive. We are feeding the deer by placing bales of hay on Catherine Bybee’s property.
